Town of Silas
Advertisement for Bid
On July 25, 2022, The Town of Silas will be accepting sealed bids for the Silas Community House located on 15 First Street Avenue, Silas, Alabama 36919. The Silas Town Council has agreed to accept bids for the building “as is”, to be moved, with the stipulation that the town will remove and return donated/loaned items to their rightful owners.
The sealed bid period is between July 25, 2022 to August 3, 2022. Sealed bids should be submitted to the office of the Municipal Clerk, 130 Indian Way, Post Office Box 147, Silas, Alabama 36919 no later than 12:00 noon on August 3, 2022.
Bids must be submitted in a sealed envelope marked “Sealed Bid”. Bids must be received at the address above prior to the deadline specified.
All bids will be opened Monday, August 8, 2022 at the regular town council meeting.
The Silas Community House will be available for viewing by appointment only. Contact Sara Welford to arrange an appointment at 251-542-9505 from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Monday – Thursday.
