Christopher S. Ryland

STEPHENS – Funeral services for Christopher Scott Ryland, age 50, were held April 30, 2022, at Midway Assembly of God in St. Stephens, with Reverend Lamar Chapman and Reverend Josh Deas officiating.

Mr. Ryland was born December 13, 1971, to Norman Lee “Bud” Ryland and Rebecca Elizabeth Ann Presnall Ryland in Mobile. He passed away April 26, 2022, at Mobile Infirmary. He loved his family and his church family at Midway Assembly of God where he was a faithful worker. He was a hard working man and enjoyed hunting, fishing, and watching Alabama baseball. He was a car aficionado and enjoyed traveling with his family.

He is survived by his wife, Jennifer Moseley Ryland of St. Stephens; son, Jonathan Ryland (Shelby) of St. Stephens; daughter, Celena Ryland of St. Stephens; mother, Ann Presnall Ryland of Bigbee; brother, Thomas Ryland (Deena) of Bigbee; sister, Sherry Deas (Christopher) of St. Stephens; nieces, Heather Holden, Erin Moseley, and Emma Moseley; and nephew, Rob Moseley.He was preceded in death by his father, Norman “Bud” Ryland.

Serving as pallbearers were Luke Chapman, Cooper Chapman, Phabian Gaston, Scotty Thompson, Billy Dixon, and Kelly Floyd Sullivan.  Honorary pallbearers included former members of Midway Assembly of God youth group from 2003 to 2017, Worth Schultz, Ray Wallace, Randy Sheridan, and Ronnie Elmore.

In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to Midway Assembly of God at 12608 CR 34, St. Stephens, AL 36569.
