Deceased man found on Christmas Day

PENNINGTON – The Choctaw County Sheriff’s Department is investigating the death of a local man whose body was found in his home near Pennington on Christmas Day.

According to Sheriff Scott Lolley, the body of Ron Washington was discovered in his rented mobile home, located at 75 Alpha Circle in Ward, at about 3 p.m. on December 25. The deceased man was found by the owner of the property.

Lolley said that the property owner had attempted to contact Washington but when he did not respond, he entered the mobile home, finding him deceased.

The case is under investigation, and no details have been released about the cause of death.
