Skelton enters guilty plea

BUTLER — Brandon Skelton entered a guilty plea to a lesser charge of manslaughter on Wednesday morning, and Judge Gaines McCorquodale sentenced him to 15 years in state prison. He was also ordered to pay restitution in an amount to be determined, to be paid within 36 months of his release from prison.

Skelton was initially charged with murder as the driver in the October, 2014 automobile crash that resulted in the death of Matthew Seward.

Skelton received credit for one day of time already served.
